SIRC RC Counting overnight over

Folks,

The counting of SIRC RC counting was done overnight yesterday (26th Dec 2014) from 11:10 PM to today (27th Dec 2014) early hours 4:00 AM.

The polling of Regional Council of SIRC, which was to commence today (27th Dec 2014) morning was unilaterally commenced yesterday night itself at 11.10 P.M without intimation to contestants or their representatives by ICSI counting venue officials. 

There are few questions for which answers are not known: 

• Quota
• 1st Count votes polled
• Transfer of votes, Distribution of Votes, Votes wasted
• Order of contestants elimination
• Elimination resulting in change in positions of contestants

Once the information is released by the ICSI officials will post the same.

Counting of Votes has since been completed for Election to the Council and Regional Council from Eastern India Regional Constituency; Northern India Regional Constituency and for the Council from Southern India Regional Constituency and Lists of members declared as elected have been hosted on the institute’s website.

Counting of votes for election to the Council from Western India Regional Constituency is in progress.

Instead of marking 1, I or ONE in CC ballots it seems we have got 29 votes which are marked as follows making it invalid:

• signature of member
• Tick over the name of the candidate
• Multiple selection of option 1
• etc.,

29 can really make a difference in this election. Is it not?

Valid votes = 2873 votes casted - 29 invalid votes = 2844 votes

Quota is 712 based on valid votes.

Surplus votes of CS Ahalada Rao is now being distributed

Folks,

165 surplus votes is now being distributed to other voters. Lets see the position after the redistribution.

The formula is 165/877 multiplied by the number of second preferences for each candidates will go to the respective candidates.

Folks,

SIRC CC Counting going on.

Quota fixed = 712 for CC

Probable 7 RCM for SIRC

Folks, 

The probable 7 for regional council in my guess may be the following combination not in any particular order:

1 - KL 
2 - KA  
2 - AP
2 - TN

Hope my guess is right.

Reason being, there is a State quota - one seat for each state. 

• Only one candidate in KL - only announcement is pending for that candidate
• Two candidates are from AP - one is reserved
• Two candidates are from KA - one is reserved
• Seven candidates are from TN - one is reserved

The election is for the three candidates. Hope one will come from each state viz. KA, AP and TN.

Here the scene is very exiting. The officials are working day and night with full enthusiam and zeal.

It looks they may even complete WIRC after SIRC working back to back.

Kudos to the entire team of counting officials of ICSI.

NIRC RC elimination still going on last two rounds, maximum will take another two hours. 

SIRC CC and RC counting may be started after that.

Folks,

Full night NIRC RC elimination went on and still going on. Hope so the entire elimination may get over in another two hours.

Possibly SIRC CC announcements will be made by then.

Who are the SEVEN in SIRC RC?

SIRC RC sorting is over. Have to wait till NIRC RC all eliminations are over. Have to appreciate the commitment of ICSI election counting venue officials including the returning officer for their tiring efforts in the counting process.

The entire SIRC CC and RC results may take hardly two to three hours only max. Hope that officials will close it by today.

NIRC RC elimination going on - SIRC official Result announcement when?

Folks,

NIRC RC elimination is going on. The total elimination to be made for NIRC still are 20. There are around 15 officials in the entire counting process. Will take tonight to complete NIRC RC.

SIRC RC will be taken only after NIRC RC is over.

As of today evenig ICSI counting officials have not proceeded for SIRC both for CC and RC.

Tomorrow morning the counting for SIRC will be resumed. As of now no numbers are officially announced.  

So far ICSI not yet announced any numbers for SIRC officially at the counting venue; so lets wait for the official announcement tomorrow.......................

SIRC CC counting is not officially announced, but the ballots in respective trays are seem to be in the following order:

S.No.1 is in 1st position leading

S.No 2 is in 4th position

S.No.3 is in 3rd position

S.No.4 is in 2nd position the runner

S.No.7 may decide the 3rd position.....

S.No.8 and S.No.6 and S.No.5 and S.No.7 may be eliminated probably......order of elimination is based on official announcement of first count.

At present;

SIRC CC Contestants 3 are present out of 8 in counting venue. Guess the three?

SIRC RC Contestants only 1 is present out of 12 in counting venue. Guess the contestant?

One member registered in northern region (but his roots are south) is present in counting venue on behalf of many SIRC CC and RC contestants. Guess the senior member who is contacted by almost all the contestants including the senior-most officials of SIRO to get information from the counting venue?

Folks,

SIRC CC sorting to all seven candidates going on.

Hope, we will know the exact position and quota by today night.

SIRC RC sorting will take place tomorrow since NIRC 3^rd RC elimination only is going on. Still 24 eliminations are there for NIRC.

Postal votes opening going on for SIRC.

NIRC - Quota : SIRC CC and RC quota ----- Have to wait for some time

The quota for NIRC is fixed at 449.

The no of votes polled at NIRC are 5836.

The quota is calculated as follows: {5836/(12 + 1)}  + 1 = 449

Let's wait for SIRC CC and RC counting to be over for getting the magic number "QUOTA".

All the officers who are deputed have gone for Lunch. Lets wait till the lunch is over.

NIRC counting first round over. Sorting of votes of SIRC going on. NIRC CC results are over. NIRC RC first count over. There are 39 contestants in NIRC, only 12 have to be elected. Elimination of 27 will take full day of today. SIRC RC may be taken after NIRC RC eliminations are over.
